Psalm 34:1-4 “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.  Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.  I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.”  We were created with a eternal spirit, we were also given a soul which is our mind, will, and emotions and that is covered over by our physical body.  What the world mostly sees is our body responding to our soul.  People see you and even at a distance they can judge you according to your mind, will, and emotions. The things is it takes a longer time to determine what is going on in the spirit of a person.  The Psalmist is saying to praise the Lord and bless the Lord with your soul so others will see and be glad.  The world can’t see Jesus but they can see you so today as you go about your business, bless the Lord and make others glad that they bumped into you.

Last Sunday was such a wonderful time in our service.  We had asked the Lord for 180 to be in attendance and the Lord heard our prayer.  At least 10 people raised their hand for salvation and we give God all the glory.

This Sunday morning I’ll be speaking on, ‘The Power Of Love.’  We say we love but if you were to stand before a judge and accused of loving the people in our world, would there be enough evidence to convict us?  Sunday evening, ‘Hidden Things.’ God in His mercy hides things on purpose.  They are not hidden from us but they are hidden for us.  As we seek the Lord His secrets unfold before us and we use the Hidden Things that we find to bring us into victory.

A woman told me that as she was seeking the Lord see had a vision and the revealed vision helped her to walk in victory ever since.

Next weekend Alice and I will be away for 3 days of ministry at the Sonrise Church in Corner Brook Newfoundland.  Pastor Mark and Louie Campbell will be ministering the Word here.

Continue to pray for those in need and if you can, fast a meal this coming week.  Lots of love, hope to see you on Sunday, Pastor Kevin and Alice.

Praise the Lord for He is good and His mercies endure forever and they are new every morning.  Lam 3:22-23 “Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

When I woke up this morning His mercies were there to greet me.  Not only do we have a new day to enter into but God’s enduring mercies travel with us.

This past week on Monday evening our Leadership Training was well attended and the teaching on leadership from Keith and Carol was great.  This Sunday is the first Sunday in Feb. and we’re having a special Family Fellowship Sunday.  We are asking everyone to invite someone to come to church with them.  We’ll be starting at 10:15 with breakfast, followed by the morning service, ending with Communion and a special Building Fund Offering.  I’ll be sharing a word on ‘Apprehending All Things.’  We can comprehend many things in our thinking but not everything that we have comprehended are we able to apprehend in our life.  There will be no evening service.

Continue to pray and speak to the Lord often.  As you spend time with Him He renews your strength and refreshes your soul.  Hope to see you on Sunday, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord for He is good.  We all need to have friends but who is a friend.  In our Men’s Meeting on Monday, Martin said that men need men friends and he talked about some of the benefits.  The chapter for today in our daily reading is Proverb 27 and it says in verse 17, ‘as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.’

A good friend is someone you can trust and be honest with about who you are and they can be honest with you about who you are.  Often we like the people who agree with us and go along with everything that we want.  A true friend will sharpen you in love because they want you to look the best that you can look and be the best that you can be.  A true friend is not someone who says something to make themselves feel superior but someone who speaks words that lift you higher.  A true friend is like one who polishes a golden spoon, their effort is for the spoon to shine.

This Sunday morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘Satan is a Cross Dresser.’  The enemy of our soul comes wearing many disguises trying to disarm us and destroy us.  If you don’t discern the goal of the enemy, you may be deceived by his disguise.  In the evening Pastor Mark will be sharing the word and praying for all those in need.

Coming up on Monday evening @7 is our Leadership Training.  We will have Keith and Carol McKeen share on how to become a good leader.  If you are a leader or you ever hope to become a leader, this evening is designed for you.  Next Sunday is the first Sunday on Feb. and we’ll be having Family Fellowship Sunday.  We’ll be starting at 10:15 with breakfast, followed by the morning service, ending with Communion and a special Building Fund Offering.  There will be no evening service.

Please pray for all those in need and pray for all the new people that have been coming out to church that they will be touched by the awesome power of God.  If people are just coming back to church then it won’t last but if they are coming back to God then they shall be blessed.  Pray also that this year the Lord will do supernatural things for us just because He’s God.  Have a super day, hope to see you on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice.

Praise the Lord, how have you been doing with your New Year’s Resolutions?  I heard a minister say that most people will break them by March.  I thought to myself, long before that.  Some have said that they were going to attend church every Sunday this year.  They got the first one in and then missed the second one.  The truth is without an inside change of the heart an outside declaration of the mouth is like what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.”  Without the love of God to empower you, you can’t do the things that God wants you to do.  If you try to do them without His strength, you do it out of duty rather than out of joy.  You grow weary and worn rather than strong and powerful.  What you once looked forward to doing with excitement, you now try to avoid.

Sunday morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘The New Nature.’  When people pick up their salvation they were also suppose to pick up a new nature.  Has your nature changed since you believed?  In the evening, ‘Fight For The Future.’  Unless you look ahead, you’ll miss the reason for the present conflict.  The devil is not fighting you over your past, nor is he fighting you over where you are, he is fighting you over your future.  This is one of those sermons you won’t want to miss.

Our first Bible Study with Robert Morris was excellent.  There are 8 sessions in all and a certificate with be given to those that attend at least 6 sessions.  We were planning another leadership training for this Monday coming but that will be moved ahead a couple of weeks.  There will still be a Men’s Fellowship coming up on Monday the 23th @7 pm.

Continue to pray for all those in need.  Lots of love, hope to see you on Sunday, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord for He is good.  If we were going by the 12 days of Christmas this is the last day.  I don’t know if that means you have to have your tree down by sunset or not but Alice has beaten the deadline.  Christmas is over and the New Year has arrived.  Our 3 days of fasting has been great other than I had a headache for most of it.  The headache is normal for me when I fast and I hear others say that they can’t fast because they get a headache.  I say no pain no gain.  A fast is a great thing but it always exposes darkness and reveals things that need to be dealt with.  The blessings of a fast come if you are willing to walk in the light.  Don’t fast unless you want to see what needs to be fixed.  When you do fast you need to determine in your heart to deal with the things that are exposed.  Matthew 17:20-21  So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.  However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."  Bringing some things into the light will only happen because of prayer and fasting.

Last Sunday as a church family we started the new year with a breakfast and it was a wonderful time.  We are expecting the new year to a great year for God’s Kingdom and the evil’s demise.

This Sunday in the morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘Breaking the Spirit of Smallness.’  The greatness of God’s voice to us is always challenged by the voice of smallness.  I can’t because….  May we break that spirit and advance into the greatness of what God has for us in 2012.  In the evening Pastor Mark will be sharing the word and we want to focus on healing the sick.  This will be a special time where we will be praying, ‘sick be healed in Jesus name.’  If you need the laying on of hands and the prayer of faith prayed over you, this is your service.  The word works for all those that work the word.

Coming up on the Monday the 16th @7 we are having another Leadership Training meeting.  Then on Monday 23rd @ 7 we will have a Men’s Fellowship.  More details to follow.

Continue to pray for those in need.  Hope to see you on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord it’s almost Christmas.  Are you busy getting ready?  Well we can all be guilty of spending far more time preparing for Christmas than time enjoying Christmas.  We can be so busy preparing that we miss enjoying the moment.  Like in the Bible when Jesus came to visit Martha and Mary.  Martha was so busy getting everything ready that she almost missed the reason for preparing.  So don’t be so busy that you don’t have time to celebrate Jesus the reason for the season.

Here we are on the eve of Christmas eve.  Tomorrow Dec. 24th we will have our morning carol sing at Loaves and Fishes from 10:30 to 11:30.  Then in the evening @6 a special Christmas Eve fellowship.  We will have music, singing, videos, testimonies, and a message followed by food and fellowship.  There will be no church services on Sunday the 25th.

Next Sunday is Sunday Jan. 1st.  This is the first Sunday in 2012 and we want to begin with a fellowship time from 10:15 to 10:45.  There will be breakfast foods with juice, tea, and coffee.  It will also be a communion service and at the end of the service we will be receiving a Building Fund offering.

As the new year arrives we want to look to the Lord for divine direction.  This year on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Jan 2nd, 3rd, and 4th we will be having 3 days of fasting.  We want to pray and fast that 2012 will be our greatest year so far.  We believe that miracles will multiple and many people will be added to the Kingdom.

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

The wise men asked a question in Matthew 2:2 "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."  In verse 3 we read, “When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.”  You would think that after all this time of waiting for a King, the city would have been excited.  Jerusalem was the capital for the Jewish people and not only was there no parade or celebration but they were troubled.  What was their problem?  The old testament declared that God’s chosen people were the Jews, so why would they need a Savior, as long as they were born a Jew?  Many people hold to this same teaching today that the Jewish people need no Savior.  This same kind of thing has also been taught in some churches where if you are a member of their denomination you are saved.  You don’t need to follow Jesus as long as you are a part of their, ‘Special Group.’  There are dozens of churches and groups that hold its members to the need to be a apart of them if they want to go to Heaven.  Peter said about Jesus in Acts 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."  Let us rejoice and worship for Jesus is the reason for the season.

This Sunday in the morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘The Christmas Gift.’  Why do we give gifts and are all our gifts wrapped up in love?  There can be many other reasons why someone wants to put a gift under your tree.  In the evening, ‘Reigning.’  Jesus came to reveal to us how to reign in this life.  If we don’t know how to reign the devil can ruin our life and steal our joy.

Coming up on Monday the 19th @ 7 pm our choir will be singing again at the Mayflower Mall.  Last Monday it was awesome as we sang the praises of God at the Mall.  On Christmas eve Saturday Dec. 24th we will have our morning carol sing at Loaves and Fishes from 10:30 to 11:30.  Also on Christmas Eve we have having a special evening service @6pm.  We will have music, singing, videos, testimonies, a message, followed by food and fellowship.  There will be no church services on Sunday the 25th.  On Sunday Jan. 1st 2012 following the communion service we will be receiving a Building Fund offering.  Every year we try to focus on the new year and look to the Lord for divine direction.  This year on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Jan 2nd, 3rd, and 4th we will be having 3 days of fasting.  We want to pray and fast that 2012 will be our greatest year so far.  We believe that miracles will multiple and many people will be added to the Kingdom.

As we raise our children there is one word that they hear from our lips over and over again and that’s the word no.  No, No, I said no!  After awhile (10 to 15 years) no becomes an acceptable answer.  The trouble is when it comes to faith and serving God we can have resistance to our prayers and we can think that God is saying no.  Once we think no is the answer we accept no and we receive nothing.  There are promises in the Word that we need to believe and no is not an acceptable answer.  These promises are yes and amen to them that believe.  We need to push, press, hang on, fight, resist, pursue, and prevail in prayer until we receive the promise.  Jesus said in Luke 18:1 “…. that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”  Keep praying for weeping my last for the night but joy comes in the morning.  North Sydney has been on my heart lately so let’s believe again for that community.

We have a great weekend coming up.

Tomorrow @6 pm is our annual Christmas Banquet.  We have a wonderful evening planned that we know that you’ll enjoy.  Our guest speaker in Pastor Cyril Rogers from Corner Book Newfoundland.  Pastor Cyril has been a personal friend of mine for almost 20 years.  He is a faithful followers of Jesus with a rich anointing of faith.  Pastor Cyril will also ministers in music and he will be with us on Sunday, go ahead an invite someone to come to church with you.  One of the men in the church said that a few years ago when Pastor Cyril was here that his wife was healed and in that same service he gave his heart to the Lord.

Coming up on Monday Dec. 12th & on Monday the 19th @ 7 pm our choir will be singing at the Mayflower Mall.  On Christmas eve Saturday Dec. 24th we will have our morning carol sing at Loaves and Fishes from 10:30 to 11:30 and @6 pm our Christmas church service, there will be no church services on Sunday the 25th.  On Sunday Jan. 1st 2012 following the communion service we will be receiving a Building Fund offering.  Then on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday Jan 2nd, 3rd, and 4th we will be having 3 days of fasting.  We want to pray and fast that 2012 will be our greatest year so far.  We believe that miracles will multiple and many people will be added to the Kingdom.

Praise the Lord.  It’s important when you need prayer that you say what your need is.  Matthew 18:18-19 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.  Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”  If you want to be private about your need no one can agree with you.  Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  Often it’s our personal pride that stands in the way of us declaring our personal need. James 5:16 “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

This Sunday morning is our Children’s Christmas Concert.  This is always a wonderful time as the children and adults join together to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  In the evening I’ll be sharing on, ‘It’s A Great Life.’  We may not always know the end of a matter but if it begins with God, the journey will be great.

For the month of December we will not be having a mid week service so people can attend all the other events that we have planned.  This week the movie Courageous is showing at the Empire Theater.  We encourage everyone to attend.  Then on Saturday Dec. 10th @6 pm it’s our annual Christmas Banquet with guest singer and preacher Pastor Cyril Rogers from Corner Brook Newfoundland.  Pastor Cyril will also be speaking on Sunday Dec. 11th.  Then on Monday Dec. 12th & the 19th @ 7 pm our choir will be singing at the Mayflower Mall. We want to build up our fund as the Lord opens doors in this area for the church to purchase or build a building that we could call our home.  Pray about what you could do in 2012 to help us work together to see a building miracle happen.

Continue to pray for those in need. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord for He is good.  It was the goodness of God that sent forth Jesus and it’s the Love of Jesus that leads us to repentance.  Psalm 27:13-14 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.  Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”  If you think in your heart that God can be evil, you may still serve Him because you want to go to Heaven but your service to God becomes one of duty rather than desire.  If that happens to you then you’ll lack the fruit of the Spirit and become a legalistic saint.  It’s important for you to understand that God is good all the time and in His goodness there is no shadow of turning.

This Sunday morning I’ll be sharing about, ‘On & Off.’  The Bible declares that the Christian walk is one of putting off certain things and putting on other things.  Real wisdom is to know which is which.  In the evening, ‘Hold On, It’s Going to Get Better.’  Sometimes we walk in a valley and in the valley we will either adjust what we believe to fit our circumstances or we’ll hold onto our beliefs and pass though the valley and on into our next victory.  When you are talking with someone today, take the opportunity to invite them to church with you.  80% of all visitors came to church because they were invited.

Don’t forget this Monday evening Nov. 28th @7 pm we are having our 2nd Leadership Summit.  Keith and Carol McKeen will be sharing on the skills of being a great Leader.  Next Sunday Dec. 4th is our Sunday School Christmas concert in the morning service.  Our Christmas banquet is on Saturday Dec. 10th @6 pm with guest singer and preacher Pastor Cyril Rogers from Corner Brook Newfoundland.  Pastor Cyril will also be speaking on Sunday Dec. 11th.  Also on Monday Dec. 12th & the 19th @ 7 pm our choir will be singing at the Mayflower Mall. We want to build up our fund as the Lord opens doors in this area for the church to purchase or build a building that we could call our home.  Pray about what you could do in 2012 to help us work together to see a building miracle happen.

Praise the Lord for our nice windy Remembrance Day.  When the winds of adversity have blown and are blowing even today, men and women across this great nation have taken up arms to protect our freedom and the freedom of others around the world.  Let us all show them honor.  Jesus said in John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.”

This Sunday in the morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘As A Man Thinks.’  We don’t draw to us what we want, I wish we did, but we draw to us who we think that we are in our heart.  If we think someone is too great to be our friend, we could want them to be our friend, but our heart would reject them. It’s our inner voice that speaks to us before our outer voice speaks to those around us.  In the evening I’ll be sharing on, ‘Looking By Faith.’  Unless you are rooted in faith you will never produce a tree in your life that grows the fruit of the Spirit.  A Christian without fruit is a believer without faith.

We are planning another Leadership Summit for Monday evening Nov. 28th @7 pm.  Keith and Carol McKeen will be sharing on the skills of being a great Leader.  Then onSunday Dec. 4th our Sunday School Christmas concert in the morning service.  Our Christmas banquet is on Saturday Dec. 10th @6 pm with guest singer and preacher Pastor Cyril Rogers from Corner Brook Newfoundland.  Pastor Cyril will also be speaking on Sunday Dec. 11th.  In Dec. our choir will be singing at the Mayflower Mall.  On Christmas eveSaturday Dec. We want to build up our fund as the Lord opens doors in this area for the church to purchase or build a building that we could call our home.  Begin to pray about what you could do in 2012 to help us work together to see a building miracle happen.

Praise the Lord for He is great and greatly to be praised.  Proverbs 13:20 “He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.”  It seems that the writer of the Proverbs bypassed reading your Bible to be wise or praying a lot to be wise but your ability to become wise depends on whether you choose to hang out with wise people.  The flip side of this is if you walk with the lame you learn to limp or it you hang out with foolish people they you destroy you.  Not maybe destroy you as a person but your plans and hopes will be destroyed because you will be around people that are critical and negative and running everybody down.  Don’t be so desperate for a friend that you will accept anyone to be your friend.  If you need a friend, look to the Lord, and start by being a Godly friend to others so you’ll recognize a Godly friend when you find one.  Pick your friends wisely or as the proverbs says pick wise friends.

Last Monday we had our first Leadership Summit.  Martin McCarthy shared some secrets to leadership and we learned some real good stuff.  Like; ‘Great teams are never the result of an accident.’

This Saturday is the Loaves and Fishes food drive.  They forgot to let us know, they called and said that it was their mistake.  They said that everything is as other years.  Saturday before 9:30am you pick up a route at the Loaves and Fishes and drive the route bringing back what you pick up to Loaves and Fishes.  See you there.

Sunday morning the Keats Sisters will be ministering in song and I’ll be sharing on, ‘The Journey.’  Our christian walk is a journey filled with opportunities to serve the Lord.  We must engage in the opportunity for the reward is wrapped up in the opportunity.  In the evening, ‘His Time.’  We like to deal with real time and our day planner but the Lord deals in eternity.  We’re in the sweet now and now and God is in the sweet past, present, and future all at the same time.  Have you ever thought about what you would do today if you had all the time in the world?  That’s how God thinks every day.

Continue to pray for those in need.  Be bold and invite a friend to come to church with you this Sunday, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord for He is good.  I was praying yesterday when I had a thought from the Lord pop into my head.  ‘If a person wants to be responsible, then they must also be willing to be accountable.’   Every responsibility has some level of accountability attached to it.  If you are married then you have a responsibility that requires you to be accountable to perform your vows.  If you don’t keep your vows then you are immature and need to grow up.   The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a (responsible) man, I (held myself accountable to) put away childish things.”  Words in brackets added by me.  We live in a world that longs for responsibility but they don’t want to be held accountable for their actions.  In the church if we can’t change our childish ways or we refuse to change we apply a liberal dose of grace and say everything is good.  No, everything is not good, your need to put away your childishness and grow up.  Paul said in Galatians  4:1 “Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all.”  As a Christian you are given the right to become the Master of all the things that pertain to life and godliness but if you remain a child you will not be one bit different than a slave.  It’s time to no longer be tossed to and fro by every childish thought for the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.  Romans 8:19

This Sunday morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘Another Commandment.’  Jesus gave us 2 commandments but it seems like we may have added a few since He left.  Do you have any other commandments working in you?  Sunday evening the Lord will be singing over His church again and I’ll be sharing a message on, ‘Spiritual Lotto.’  Miracles happen not by chance but by the fact that God is good.

Monday evening 7 pm @ our Bible Study hall we are having our first, ‘Leadership Summit.’  A time to get together an revisit the need for unity in the Christian community.  Church is not a place where a bunch of different people come together with a bunch of different ideas and fight to see who’s right but we need to come together in the unity of our common faith to fulfill the purposes of God.

Continue to pray for all those in need.  Have a super day, hope to see you on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice.

Friday Sept. 23rd, 2011

Praise the Lord for another blessed week.  As I was praying this morning I could see how we are limited on the outside to the size that we are on the inside.  We may talk big and want big but we make decisions based on what we feel that we can handle on the inside.  The good news from God is you can build yourself up on the inside so you don’t crumble on the outside.  Jude 1:20-25 “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.  And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.  Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.” Praying in the Holy Spirit has the power to edify you and build you up inwardly. As your building in enlarging don’t forget to decorate it with lots of love so you’ll know how to act.

This Sunday morning we’ll have with us James Bell ministering in word and in music.  We are looking forward to a blessed time in the presence of the Lord.  In the evening I’ll be sharing on, ‘Put On Your Coat.’  There are old things that you must cast of as a Christian and there are new things you must put on.  Are you dressed to win?

Next week Alice and I are going to the CFCM national conference in Edmonton.  As the Atlantic Canada Director I look forward to sitting with our National leaders.  The conference speakers are Pastor’s Steve and Kathy Gray from the Kansas City Revival.  These folks Pastor the longest running revival in the world.

Praise the wonderful name of Jesus.  Last Sunday evening was a powerful time at the Water Baptism service as many people were touched by the presence of the Lord.  It’s exciting to see excited people who are excited about Jesus.  It is great to be a believer in these uncertain end times as the Holy Spirit is moving.  It seems that the times or the days that we’re living in are a challenge to our faith as we trust in God.  The good news is Acts 2:17-18 says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.  And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.”

Prophecy means to speak or to proclaim and this is to all believers.  Not just the prophets, priests, or ministers but everyone will have a voice to declare the goodness of the Lord. As for you and your house seek be bold to speak the word of the Lord and be blessed.

Sunday morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘The First Gentile Convert.’  Jesus came with a message of hope to the Jews and after His death and resurrection the power of His salvation was to touch the entire world.  How did Peter, the head of the church, meet a Gentile Roman soldier and bring him to salvation?  Why was this soldier chosen to become the first Gentile believer?  In the evening, ‘The Power of Coming In.’  How do we exit the old and come into something new?  How do we leave the past and pursue His presence?  Why can we leave some things so easily and other things are hard to let go of?  There are some secrets that will help you if you have an ear to hear.

Wednesday evening @7 we are having an hour of worship and revelation.  Last Wednesday the Lord was saying to be serious about the things of the Lord.  One person had a dream, another a scripture, and we closed with a time at the altar of commitment.

We were raising money for the Back to School Program in Glace Bay to help children receive their school supplies and we were able to donate $800.00 to that cause.  Thank you all for your giving.

Continue to pray and try to take one day a week to fast.  Hope to see you on Sunday, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord for another wonder-filled day.  When I think about the greatness of God and the vastness of His creation I must consider us who are trusting in His promises.  When someone promises you something you rely on their resources to fulfill their promise.  Even if you must wait awhile you know that the person may be delayed but you will not be denied.  SO it is for all those who trust in God and His promises for we know that He who has promised is faithful.  Psalm 145:15-17 “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.”

This Sunday in our morning service I’ll be sharing on, ‘Renewing Faith.’  After 9-11 the world was griped with fear and that fear controlled the actions of many.  We need to cast out fear and renew our faith in the God of our Salvation.  Jesus didn’t leave us without peace and within His peace is a place of powerful faith.  You won’t want to miss what the Lord has been speaking to me about and how you can renew your faith.  Sunday evening @ 6 we are going to have our Water Baptism service at the Maurice and Barb Tobin’s.  Food, fun, and fellowship to follow.  Invite a friend to come with you.

Wednesday evening @ 7 we’ll be having a time of worship and prayer, followed by a time of praying together.

During the week continue to spend time in prayer.  Just talking with God can help you when dealing with people.  Hope to see you on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the wonderful name of Jesus.  Last Sunday was such a great day in the house of the Lord as people were saved, healed, and we seen several new folks in the service for the very first time.  Two young girls came out Sunday night, one from Sydney the other from New Waterford.  They were asked how they happened to come to the service and they said that they were just seeking more of God and ending up here.  Blind eyes were opened, and lumps were dissolved in the name of Jesus.

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” I had lunch with someone the other day and he called himself a Christian but he didn’t go to church anywhere.  It seems like we have those that have rejected the world but on the other hand they have rejected the church because it’s not perfect.  Rather than considering how they could make a difference in the church they only want to follow Jesus on their terms which usually means that they are not following Jesus at all.  To understand the church we are just a group of called people who want to love and do good works while trying to overcome the weaknesses of human flesh.  I know above many that the church is imperfect but so was the church in Jesus’ day yet He went without fail.  He didn’t excuse Himself from following the word of God because some in the church were disobedient.  I was thinking lately that I need to come up with a name for these 100’s of 1000’s of people.  Maybe spiritual orphans, no longer in the world and yet rejecters of their new family called the church.  Somehow no longer identifying with the world but yet not willing to assemble together with a church.  Cut out of the world but not grafted into a local assembly.  An orphan spirit that wants to follow the Father and yet willingly rejects the Father’s voice when He says do not forsake.  We need to pray for these folks and believe that the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened.  2 Tim 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers.” I pray that our church is seen as a loving, forgiving, caring church that is doing good works to spread the good news of the gospel.

Sunday morning I’ll be sharing on, ‘Wearing Christ On the Outside.’  Many people have Jesus on the inside but they haven’t exposed Jesus to their outside world.  They are secret agents, spies for the King, and double 0 7 in the secret service.  The trouble is the Holy Spirit wants to work with us and through us to change our world if we will let Him.  Come out and hear how you can get what’s working on the inside, working on the outside.  In the evening we are having a special water baptism service at the Tobin’s.  I’ll share a word on, ‘Is Almost Good Enough?’  It can be tempting to settle for better than it was without receiving the best that God has.  Fun, food, and fellowship are all included in the price of attending.  So invite a friend to join you.

Continue to pray for those in need.  Hope to see you on the weekend, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice
